| The Stromberg Hydraulic Instructor's Dual Control Brake |
The Stromberg Hydraulic Instructor's Dual Control Brake meets the needs of the industry. Featuring powerful, smooth, hydraulic braking, it is a complete, fully self-contained and assembled system. It can be tranferred from car to car easily. It does not connect to the car's braking system and does not penetrate the car's firewall! All installation is done inside the passenger compartment.
The unit is a simple, powerful, low cost, complete system. It is specifically designed for use on driver training cars. It allows safe, smooth and effective dual brake control without interfering with the vehicle's brake system. It requires no complicated adjustments, no fitting kits and no transfer kits.
Pedal angles are properly designed for late model cars. It is manufactured to high automotive standards, ruggedly built for years of trouble-free, economical service.
The hydraulic brake weighs 14lbs, it does not connect to the car's braking system. Instead a dual control pedal is installed on the instructor's side of the car. The mechanism that operates the control on the driver's side goes up on the dash and a plunger pushes the brake down to effect powerful smooth hydraulic braking. This mechanism is served by two rails that are bolted by sheet metal screws to the floor on the driver's side.

| Cablematic Dual Brake |
The Cablematic Dual Control Brake is made of heavy aluminum casting and weighs in at 7lbs, this is our most popular brake. A cable made up of several metal wires runs across the vehicle floor and through a pulley which is attached to the floor by 4 small bolts. The cable is clamped at one end to the student's brake pedal (service pedal) and at the other end to the instructors brake pedal. The dual control brake is adjustable and when the vehicle is not being used for training can be easily removed. It comes fully assembled with explicit installation instructions supplied. Spare cables (item 2004) are available.
The brake's guidance system for the cable through the pulley has been newly improved in 2001 to provide an extremey efficient braking system.
